A52 resurfacing starts at Elton-on-the-Hill

A £1.1m scheme to resurface a one-and-a-half mile stretch of the A52 has begun.

The work by the Highways Agency is being carried out at Elton-on-the-Hill on the Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire border.

DRD shelves A2 project despite spending £16m

The Department for Regional Development (DRD) plans to shelve a road dualling project for at least four years even though it has already spent £16m on it.

The A2 road runs along the northern shore of Belfast Lough.
