We are down to a day...............just a day, to stand up and make ourselves heard. Telling the next driver ISN'T enough! You must comment!
The new proposed hours of service rule at www.fmcsa.dot.gov is not too far from passing right in front of your face. Why? Because only 6,000 people have commented. Out of over a million, only SIX THOUSAND commented on last count. They even gave an extension! March 4th is the deadline. I hear all this whining and griping and moronic talk of striking (it's illegal, educate yourself with one of Sandy Long's articles and history if you aren't smart enough to do so yet; not to mention when YOU got your CDL, you signed a piece of paper..........should've read it before signing blindly) and people saying they're only one person. Guess what? If every "one person" would comment, a million comments would be in. If you want to make a difference in your industry, your lifestyle, you would comment. If you don't comment, you have no right to complain. It's just that simple.
Here's how easy it is today, right now, to comment. Walk into a Pilot, Flying J, or Love's and go to the Transflo machine. Grab a comment card. Write on their the info you have to and comment "Leave the current HOS alone." That just took you two whole minutes. Now, Transflo it into the FMCSA for FREE! That took two minutes, just TWO, to make sure you're not hosed for the next TWENTY years. How easy was that? Tell everyone on Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, and on the CB how easy it is! Help fight back! The only legal way you can is by commenting, writing, emailing, and making phone calls. Your future is literally dependent on you.
