Bill Benson is the managing director of Martin & Co on the corner of Market Street and Market Square.
He said larger HGVs had caused problems as they tried to negotiate the tight bend into Market Street.
He estimated his building had been hit up to 50 times in the three and a half years he had been there.

Mr Benson said the lorries passed inches from his window: "The worst one was when they put our front window through. The wagon obviously couldn't get round. He was forcing, forcing and hit the front of our shop, smashing the front window.
"The window came crashing in. We had lots of screams from the female staff and from shoppers who were walking by."
Councillor Adrian Lawrence, Telford and Wrekin cabinet member for environment, said: "Signs saying the roads are unsuitable for HGVs have previously been installed at the junction of Church Street and Vine Yard Road.
"An additional sign will now be placed at Station Road indicating a restricted road width ahead."
Banning HGVs
Office administrator, Jessica Davies said she sits facing the window: "It's quite scary at times. It actually looks like a lorry's going to come in and park right in front of my desk."

Mr Benson said Telford and Wrekin Council had put some bollards in the road but they had not stopped the lorries hitting his shop.
He wants to see the HGVs banned from the area: "I realise the shops down here need deliveries, but they don't need to be HGVs. This road isn't built for HGVs."
Mr Lawrence added that the council would review the location of the bollards, designed to help prevent vehicles hitting the buildings.
He said, if appropriate, they could be adjusted during the proposed refurbishment works on a building opposite the junction.
