Two men arrested after drugs were found during safety checks on 45 lorries at the Port of Felixstowe in Suffolk have been released on bail.

Vehicles were stopped on Friday in a bid to raise driving standards and ensure lorries were mechanically safe.

Two local men, both aged 20, questioned on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply have been released pending further inquiries.

They are to return to Ipswich police station on 26 April.

A number of vehicle prohibitions were issued to other drivers for driving for too many hours or with vehicle defects.
