So yesterday was my first day back. In to the yard, hook up a van and drive to Grand Forks, North Dakota for a load of cardboard.
The first thing I noticed is how much each shoulder relies on the other. Shifting was no problem at all, neither was winding the legs on the trailer. In fact, the only twinges were from steering and they weren't severe.
Although I did notice that my back stiffened up after driving a while, and I managed to clobber my shoulder getting out of the truck at customs which made me twist, which hurt the ribs a little.
So I got down there, got loaded and got back and have to say that I was reasonably pain free.

Even pulling the pin was OK, which was a surprise.
So today, I went to Arctic Cat at Thief River Falls. I had to drop/ pick up 3 trailers, and managed it without trouble. But the trailer I brought home had the bogie set too long for Canada so I had to move it. It is one of the old mechanical ones where you yank on the lever, beat the pins then keep repeating it until the pins come free. It hurt a little but I was pulling hard, then scrunching under the trailer to whack the pins free so a little pain was to be expected.
On the whole, I am well pleased. It is going well enough so I will ask for the load I brought back up today...
Newfoundland, can't get much further than that.....
