So after the mildest November ever ever ever.... winter finally arrived last week.
Calgary got hit by a serious winter storm and a massive storm went right through the US from Colorado acroos to New York. I understand a certain member of the forum is not truly impressed......
Anyway, now my lights are in, the inflatable santa is in an airgun proofed cage just in case Kat is looking, and the block heaters are back in effect.
Anyway, tonight I went hunting for more extension cables because santa was looking a bit deflated. You see, I had to pinch the cables for the block heaters. I managed to come up with a couple which were lurking in my sub zero garage so were frozen solid, took them out and managed to persuade them under the deck for the lights.
Just the job!! Plugged in the last lot of lights and......
Blew the bloody trip switch!! Poor santa hadn't even filled his boots and he was flat again..
So now I have had to track down yet another cord (a proper block heater one with a light on it) and run the cable for the heaters into the garage. When I plugged them in they dimmed the lights a bit so I think it is a situation that will require careful monitoring..
