Police are investigating after a 40-tonne truck loaded with logs lost a wheel as it drove yesterday (Tues) afternoon in Sierning in Upper Austria’s Steyr-Land district.
They said the wheel rolled 50 metres down the street and across a junction before slamming into a parked car. No one was injured.
Officers believe the truck was sabotaged and that someone had loosened the wheel’s nuts sometime on Monday or yesterday while the truck had been parked in a loading area at a firm.
