New Games

Finally got the dreaded letter from the DVLA that my LGV entitlement has been withdrawn.
Went into hospital on christmas eve with high bloodpressure and a heart attack, spent 2 weeks on the ward (Christmas and newyear ) and have been at home since then.
At the moment I'm feeling better then I have felt in ages and enjoy the time of. Luckely I work for a decent outfit and my income has not been affected.
But it looks like I'll be driving a desk or sweeping the yard for a while yet before I get my licence back.
Bummer.

How long before you can apply for return of entitlement?

If like woodland jen you are born to drive a desk,to get it to move would be no problem,for us as drivers we would have to VOR it so the fitters could fix on a few wheels plus it would have to have a night heater fridge double bunks ally wheels velvet curtains auto gearbox,,,nights out?? no chance day boy

Hi Henk, i am really sorry to hear that mate . That must be a real blow to you and the good lady, i hope it works out well there was a lad at basingstoke had the same thing and was back driving a year and a half later , i took him out for his check drive and he was passing anyway lol. As i said , hopeit works out Henk. I remember when i was really worried about the trainer thing , you really put my mind at rest and i thank you for that. All the best sir

4 months down the line now and still on the sick.
Thanks for all your words of encouragements, it has really been appreciated.
Thankfully the wages are still coming in, so no worries on that front. Don't know how folks without a sick pay scheme manage.
Done the exercise ECG test (treadmill) and my cardiologist has confirmed that it satisfied all the DVLA requirements.
So now it's up to them to get their fingers out and give me the all clear in the next 4 weeks and I can return to the grindstone.
