Founded by Mario Bertuzzi in Cagliari the company began by refurbishing war surplus vehicles for the civilian market. In 1951 the company moved its premises to Piacenza and in 1952 became the Italian agent for Detroit Diesels and Allison transmissions and in 1954 began producing their own range of dump trucks using components from both Detroit and Allison.
The company has over the years become a well established specialist for dump trucks, cement mixers, crane chassis and tippers as well as specialist military vehicles for both on and off road use with configurations such as 4x4, 6x4, 6x6, using Detriot, Fiat and Mercedes Benz engines of up to 520 bhp.
In 1985 the company was bought by the Iveco group of companies but still continues to manufacture and sell vehicles under its own name.
