Following the assembly of prototypes at the Zavod Imeny Likhachev factory production finally got underway in 1976 in a brand new plant at Naberezhyne near Chelny on the river Kama. The worlds largest truck factory this had a planned annual output of some 150,000 vehicles. The vehicle range consisted of 4x2 tractor units, 6x4 tippers, a 6 wheeled drawbar outfit and dump trucks all of these were of a forward control design. Three direct injection diesel engines were built and these were also supplied to other Soviet truck manufacturers. Unfortunately as with most Russian manufacturers little information is available either past or present.
