Denholm Logistics has bought Arends International for an undisclosed sum. Denholm Logistics is based in Liverpool and is a division of J&J Denholm group, a Scottish industrial and shipping conglomerate. Michael Beveridge, MD of Denholm Logistics, said: "As well as strengthening our UK coverage and further enhancing the range of services we offer, this acquisition adds significant turnover to the business boosting our buying power and presence in the market.” Arends International has a turnover of more than £50m (US$100m) and employs 85 staff between Newton-le-Willows and London. Arends will continue to operate under its own brand, with all the senior management and staff team remaining in their current roles. Source IFW |
