A lorry driver was locked in his vehicle by four thieves who then escaped with tobacco worth £20,000.

The victim had just made a delivery to the BP garage in Kidbrooke Park Road and was walking back to his lorry when he was stopped by the men.

After walking back with him they drove the vehicle towards Rochester Way and parked near the petrol station before unloading it.

The victim, a 64 year old male, was locked in the back of the lorry and the suspects escaped in a vehicle which is believed to be a white van.

They were white and spoke with northern accents.
