Thieves stole 400 laptop computers from a lorry at Northampton's Brackmills Industrial Estate. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information after the theft between 3am and 3.25am on Tuesday from the lorry parked in the Salthouse Road area. Two men dressed in florescent jackets approached the parked lorry and restrained the driver as he got out of the cab. As they did so, a dark-coloured lorry and a dark-coloured car pulled up behind the parked lorry. A group of approximately five people then removed a number of pallets, which contained the laptops, from the trailer of the parked lorry, of which they then loaded onto their own trailer. The lorry and the car then drove away. A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 08453 700700 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
