Bibby Distribution has won a logistics deal with Burgess Pet Care, managing its national distribution centre in Pollington near Goole.

The deal covers the distribution of more than 35,000 pallets per year to both wholesale and retail outlets across the UK.

Gary Sharp, divisional director for Bibby, said: "With Bibby personnel based on site, we can work with Burgess staff to drive down their costs and improve on our synergies." Burgess Pet Care MD Paul Miley said: "However good our products at Burgess Pet Care, it is meaningless unless our customer service is excellent.

With the growth Burgess is experiencing, our partnership with Bibby gives me confidence we can meet this rising demand with industryleading service standards."
