A GANG hijacked a lorry making a delivery to the Tesco superstore in Hucknall's Station Road and made off with about £20,000 worth of cigarettes.
The group of four or five men smashed a window of the lorry as it drew up outside the premises at around 7.30 am on Wednesday March 25. The lorry was driven away for a short distance and was then abandoned by the gang with the driver locked inside. The large haul of cigarettes was stolen from the back of the lorry and loaded into two vehicles. No-one was injured in the robbery and no weapon was seen. Police are investigating. |
