A total of 420 laptop computers have been stolen from a Hungarian-registered truck parked in a lay-by on the A426 near Rugby while the driver slept.The theft of the seven pallets of laptops is thought to have happened between 9pm on Monday 14 September and 5am the following morning. The foreign lorry driver slept in his cab while offenders cut through a metal bolt to gain access to the trailer. "This was a high-value theft," a spokeswoman for Warwickshire Police . Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the lay-by, which is close to Junction 1 of the M6, is asked to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. |
